Basket Weave Cupcake Box Idea

When you get to choose your own colors, basket weaving isn't so bad! Especially when you can look forward to the prize inside - a delicious cupcake! Whether you’re giving these out to party guests or during bake sales, or using this as an activity during a birthday party, these paper cupcake boxes are sure to be a hit.

1. Cut 1" strips from two colors of paper.
2. Tape strips of one color next to each other along the bottom of the box; this will be the vertical strips.
3. Tape the strips of the other color along the sides; these will be the horizontal strips.
4. Start weaving the strips together in a one by one basket weave.
5. Trim where necessary and use glue to secure loose strips. Make sure to weave strips on all 6 sides.
