The beauty of these snowflakes is that anyone can create them! Gather some white chenille stems, some cord or string and maybe even a few embellishments and create away! Once completed, use them to decorate all winter long.
Step 1: Cut 3 pieces of white chenille stems into equal lengths of approximately 3" each.
Step 2: Twist the 3 pieces together at the middle to create a basic snowflake shape.
Step 3: Cut six 2" lengths and six 1 1/2" lengths from the white chenille stems.
Step 4: Twist a 2" length between the middle and end of one basic snowflake stem to create a "v" shape; twist a 1 1/2" length towards the outside of the snowflake stem, also creating a "v" shape. Repeat for all six basic snowflake stems radiating out from the middle.
Step 5: Using your choice of 6" cording or 6" string, tie a knot and then glue the knot to the outside of one of the snowflake stems. This will be your hanger.
Step 6: To create larger snowflakes, cut longer lengths for the basic stems and "v" shapes.
Step 7: You can leave your snowflakes plain or decorate them with glitter or embellishments of your choosing.
