Great quality
I purchased these to sell at Jimmy Buffet Parrothead charity functions and was surprised at the great quality when they arrived.

too small! real circumference is 19", not 22"
The description says the hat is 22 inches, but it was way too small for my son, so I measured and it's only 19 inches! My child is only 5 years old, so double-check your own child's head size before ordering, and remember that this hat is three inches smaller than it claims to be.

Not a good fit
My 3-1/2 year old son loves to play pirates and has been asking for a pirate hat. I was placing an order for other things, so I threw this in. He was so excited when he saw it... until he put it on his head. The shape is too round and the material is too hard for the hat stay on his head. His head is not huge, but I don't know what size child or what shaped head these hats are supposed to fit. The hat either needs to be bigger or more oval shaped to sit correctly on the top of a normal head. It didn't work for my son. He was so disappointed. I would return it, but I don't want to pay to ship it back.

too small except for an infant
I bought one for my son who was celebrating his 4th birthday, and one for his brother, who is 2, and they didn't fit either child. The only person that could wear it is my 6 month old baby.

True piracy
I bought 8 of these, and it was a good thing that I did because two of them were ruined. One had a stained skull sticker and the other was ripped and peeling off.
I didn't have enough time to return the damaged ones before the party. It cost me additional money at the craft store to buy replacement embellishments.
I would also suggest a chin strap because they run so small.

Good quality but to small
It was well made but I bought it for my 4 year old and it was way to small. SO I recommend it for a child with a small head.

Great value and quality!
I got this for my daughter who wanted to play pirate and go on treasure hunts. I was impressed by the quality of this hat. I expected it to be plastic, flimsy or similar due to the price, but it exceeded my expectations. The hat is very durable, she tends to wear it in the sandbox, her chosen destination for digging for treasure, and while we have some fraying on the ribbon, the hat is holding up very well to my toddlers attempts to destroy it! The shape has also held VERY well, even though it is routinely stepped on and buried. I would definitely recommend this for a party, I think it would be a great favor!

Pirates ahoy!
We have an annual pirate ship event fundraiser to these hats are cool as they are smaller for child heads. If improvements could be made I would suggest a strap so they don't blow off.
