I gave the pencils to a group of fourth graders as a memento of a lesson on Tangrams. Both the kids and the teachers were happy with this attractive and useful item.

These are always great. We purchase them every year to hand out in class for Chinese New Year. Everyone can always use a pencil.

I've been buying these pencils for years to give out to my daughters' classmates for Chinese New Year. There used to be English ("Happy Chinese New Year") as well as Cantonese ("Kung Hey Fat Choi," which is the same as "Gong Xi Fa Cai" in Mandarin, a traditional New Year's greeting) written in gold. Now there is only the English, and one side of the pencil is blank!! I understand that not everyone has a Cantonese-speaking background like I do, but they should at least cover the pencil with more English or a decoration of some kind rather than leave it blank on one side! (BTW, ignore the reviewer that says there was Vietnamese on the pencil...That person obviously doesn't know the different Chinese dialects!)
