I liked these kits because the kids could be creative and make their own sequin design.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Grin A creative ornament
Kids at my Church between the ages of 3 and 9 loved making these ornaments at our recent Christmas Festival. The littlest ones needed some assistance getting the knots tied at the start, but all the children soon got a handle on the lacing process. These ornaments are made from quality, sturdy wood. The laces are tipped for easy sewing. Each one is individually packaged with directions, so they were easy to pass out at a large event. They are bright colors, and the kids liked that they could choose a Christmas tree, star, or a traditional ball ornament shape. Some kids even made two!

These are perfect for my kindergarten class to make! We will be putting their name and the year on the back with a permanent marker. I'm sure their parents will love them!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by NeedsaKit So simple to make, yet sturdy enough to last
This was very modestly priced, extremely easy to complete, and classy enough to give as gifts to friends, teachers, and neighbors. Even my oldest son who is NOT excited about arts and crafts liked this one. We like the durability of the wood (rather than foam, paper, or glass), however, one of the ornaments out of the twenty-four we ordered was cracked and unusable upon delivery. It was simple enough for my six-year-old to complete with very little supervision, but provided enough sophistication for my twelve-year-old to make a beautifully creative piece.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by vbop Nice Idea, Some Drawbacks
These ornaments are cute and fairly simple to assemble (I purchased them for first graders), but there are a few frustrations with how they arrived. The green tree pieces were not as nice as the red ornament and yellow star pieces. About a thrid of the trees (I bought 6 packages) had so much paint scratched off the surface that I didn't feel they looked good enough to use. This didn't seem to be an issue with the other styles. Also, many of the adhesive jewels were stuck inside the packaging because the paper covering the adhesive was off or partially off in the bag. I ended up peeling the papers the rest of the way off, realigning them, and repackaging the kits in zip-lock bags. Fortunately, the adhesive still worked well enough once assembled. Out of six packages, there were only 3 ornaments that were missing any pieces, but extra pieces are included with each unit (but not the largest red jewels, which we were missing one of). Overall, I am happy with how they turned out and, being wood, they make ornaments that seem a bit nicer than paper or foam projects, but the packaging and quality control left something to be desired.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by jandsS Neat idea, not the greatest quality
I bought these for my daughter to make as Christmas presents for people. She just turned 4 and the difficulty level is just about right. It's good for fine motor skills while still being fun. I wouldn't buy it for any younger kids. The pieces are wooden, which is nice, but the quality is lacking. Some of the pieces aren't smooth and the "paint" on them isn't even, but that's not really noticeable. The string is sturdy and works well to thread through the holes, even though the edges of the holes are slightly rough. The worst part is the "stick-on" decorations. They do not stick at all. We have been using glue, otherwise they fall off. Pretty good for the money, overall, just expect to have to help a kid younger than 4 with all of it. Also, buy some glue for the decorations- do NOT rely on the peel and stick.
