Great for keeping the kids busy
I purchased these for my nieces and nephews (ages 3-12) to make while they waited on dinner to be served instead of whining that they wanted to open presents. This not only kept them busy making the craft, but also running around looking through the eye hole at each other and the tree lights.

Fun Craft but not as described
I bought this item as it was listed in the winter themed area not the christmas area. Its pictured as a Snowman craft. Our school will not allow xmas themed items. It came with 3 different themed pictures which the description does not mention (so 8 of the 12 in each pack). two of the three pictures either say christmas on them or have santa. Both are not allowed at our school. This would have been nice to know prior to purchasing and opening in the classroom. Very disappointed that this was not disclosed up front. We made due by photo copying the one print that was usable and cutting out extra copies.

Nice Holiday Craft
We had this as one of the crafts at a holiday craft day at our library. The children enjoyed it and my only concern was that the press-on decorations were not equal. Some were glorious snowflakes and some were just little dots. I wish they they had been equal.

Great quality - don't use the sticky strips
I bought these on sale at $2.49 per dozen, which is a fabulous value. I tossed the included coloring pages (one of which was a bit crumpled, which isn't too bad considering I bought 2 dozen). I printed my own images, which were just children's names in WordArt, then cut them into the appropriate sized rectangles. Don't bother with the thin double-sided tape they give you. There will be two thin 5" sticky strips per kaleidoscope, but it's so difficult and time consuming to get the yellow backing off both sides of it. I gave up and bought my own double-sticky tape at the supermarket, and that made the job go faster. I also bought tiny animal stickers on OTC and used those to decorate each kaleidoscope. The kaleidoscopes work very well and have nice colors.

Great for any theme!
I bought these for a Science-themed birthday party. They come with a snowman winter themed coloring sheet to stick around the kaleidoscope, but you can print your own label on sticker paper or on regular paper to stick right on instead. For the clearance price, these are PERFECT and kids love them! They're about 5 inches long, so they're a decent size to add to a party treat bag.
