I gave this 4 stars because I don't think this is very ideal for kids, especially young kids. I'm not sure they'd have the patience for it. However, as an adult I enjoyed making these very much and they will make great little gifts for the children I work with. I used hot glue for the felt scarves (I've never gotten felt to stick with regular glue, it always gets absorbed) and for the hanging cords. The hot glue is ideal for the hangers since the cords aren't flat and the glue cools fast to keep them from rolling off center. Someone mentioned not liking them because of the big oriental trading stamp on the back. I bought fifty cent acrylic paint and painted over it. It's an extra step but wasn't a problem for me. For the price of this craft, and how cute they turned out, it was worth it!

Thought the ornament was cute until I turned it over and found orientaltrading.com FUDA 0515 printed on the back of the stick. This was not shown in the picture...am not using the kits at the party.

This was perfect for a 3.5 year old. Gave half to a neighbor for her grandchildren who are older but also enjoyed making them. The ornaments went together quickly before my grand daughter's attention span was lost.

I suggest using glue dots to attach your pieces! It makes them hold better and you don't have to wait on glue to dry!

So this ornament is cute and simple to make. Will be making this with my son's boy scout troop in December. My only complaint was with the order of the directions. You should have children glue the satin cord and scarf to the back first and then flip the stick over and complete the front. I also used glue dots to make the craft cleaner and to eliminate drying time. The only item I used actual glue for was the little nose which I glued on last. My glue dots were too big for the tiny nose.
