Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not good for ornament making. Any ornament 1/2 inch thick or less breaks and crumbles, I used with cookie cutter, each once broke after drying with 1/2 inch thickness.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from average This product was used for a camp project. The intent was to have the campers paint the item (once dry) that they shaped. However, after the 48 hour drying time (on the label) the clay sculpture items crumbled for most of the campers. The instructions did not indicate how thick an item needed to be to hold together. The camper counselors tried a variety of different glues to repair the campers work. That did not work and most of the effort was trashed. The experience of the campers using clay was good. However, the expense of it going into the trash was a waste of dollars spent. Next time more instructions or a different type of clay will be required for the camp.

Questions & Answers

How many hand prints

How many hand prints can this make. I generally give students a slightly larger than tennis ball size to roll out into a circle for their hand plaque. How many would I need to do 30 hand prints?
Asked by: koolsister
I would recommend 3 to be on the safe side. I just used a bucket and was able to get 15 kids a ball a little smaller then a tennis ball. We didn't roll it out so not sure if the size would be big enough for a hand print, but it probably would be close.

How many small bowls (cereal bowl size) could 2.5 pounds of this clay make? Not sure how many buckets I need to order.

Asked by: Mbond
The amount of clay would depend on the size and thickness of the bowl. You would receive 2.5 lbs of clay. We would suggest ordering one unit to see how many you are able to make.

How much air dry clay would I need to make the Dino Dig Project Idea listed on this site? I have the same sand mold.

Asked by: adriaK
It would depend on how many of the molds you did. One unit of the clay should be enough to complete one set of molds.
