Combine these with suncatcher paint, and you have an awesome looking craft that the kids and their parents will hang onto a lot longer than most!

I use the sun catcher chimes when I teach the lesson about the Holy Spirit (the loud wind). I tell the children that when they hear their chimes ring that it is reminding them that the Holy Spirit is with them.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Kozmom Kids love it!
I've used these in Sunday School several times. If you use the sun catcher paint that OT offers, keep in mind that it will need overnight drying time. I have had the kids use permanent markers instead of the paint so they could take them home that day. The results were still good and much less messy.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by somanycats missing chimes
My class of first and second graders love any of the sun catcher items, and this was no exception. I had to untangle the chimes for them, but after that the project was easy to do. I would have rated it 5 stars if so many of the pieces hadn't been missing 1-2 chimes each. Best to open everything and check, even if you don't plan on using them right away.

We used these for Mother's Day gifts. The kids really enjoyed making them and the cross was a nice size. There were no strings for hanging included.

This product was way too small. Some of the chilmes were missing the metal pieces. None of them made any choice because the pipes are too far apart. I would have had more time before our event I would have definately sent them back and purchased something different. Very disappointing.

This project was a blast! We used paint pens and they worked great. All of the women and children who participated absolutely loved this craft! We especially loved how the chimes were already attached. One suggestion, these do not come with the string to hang them, so make sure to get some fishing line or small string for hanging.
