3D Geometric Shapes
Super Price for Class Set
These recently arrived and I couldn't be more pleased! I went through all of the individual solids to sort them into 30 sets and every piece was perfect. Moreover, the quality for the price simply can't be beat. I look forward to using them and having enough for each child to have their own set. Usually kinder and 1st grade kids use these for only a short learning period, so I expect they will last throughout my teaching years.

Good purchase, only one problem...
As we were doing some work on 3-D shapes we thought this was a great idea. Each student could have their own set of 3-D shapes! The quality of the pieces is good. The only problem was that I opened my package and had 45 of one piece, 30 of another, and 25 of most others. With 26 kids in the class it falls just short of the mark. It appears to be sold on weight not actual "30 each of 8 different plastic shapes". Overall I would recommend this product.

worthwhile for the price
I bought these to use as math manipulatives in my Kindergarten classroom when we study solid shapes. I love that there are 30 of each shape....I sorted them out by color into baggies so that each baggie has one of each solid shape. Now when we get to that unit this year, in addition to my "teacher" solids that I hold up and show, each child will have their own "mini" set that they can examine and manipulate to help them learn the attributes of each shape. The quality is not quite what I thought it would be...each shape is hollow, so there is the basic molded shape, and then one of the "faces" is attached afterwards. I noticed as I was sorting that on several shapes, the "seperate" face was loose or detached. 9 times out of ten, it snapped right back into place. I don't see it being a huge problem for my purposes, as these shapes will be used for instruction, not play, so they won't get super beat up. Compared to what you would pay for a class set of manips on other teacher sites, I say it's a great deal:)
