Good Purchase
I purchased these bags as a take home gift for children, and they loved them. The material was a bit thin, but still served its purpose. I would recommend them to a friend.

One of the worst purchases ever
The material is a thin muslin usually used to make dress and pattern prototypes versus a finished product. Flimsy stitching. Can easily be pulled apart if any books were to be placed inside. There's no way that a kid, or anyone else for that matter, could actually use these bags.
The threads from the stitching haven't been snipped, cut, or hidden in anyway. Each bag looks like a tattered mess.
While they may make good patterns or linings, these "messenger' bags are more like shoddily made flapped tote bags.

Poor quality
I ordered two packages of the messenger bags for a workshop that I will be conducting. The quality of the fabric is thin & cheap. Lots of threads hanging off it. Each one needs to be ironed. Order the plain white backpacks instead. They are much better in quality.
