Great craft
Our theme this year for VBS was Egypt and this worked great for leather craft day. We used jewels to decorate the bracelets and glue dots to hold the jewels on. I don't think the self-adhesive jewels would hold up as well as the glue dots did. The kids loved chosing their own jewels. Some kids chose to use the reverse side to decorate which was black and it worked, too. I would order both 1/2 inch and the smaller glue dots as we had only the larger size and it would have been better to have had the smaller glue dots for the smaller jewels than to cut the glue dots like we did.

Good product for simple projects
I bought these for a Girl Scout Day and the girls LOVED them. I needed a quick project and this was exactly what I was looking for. Like the previous comments said, sharpie markers work the best. The only problems I had with the bracelets were that some of them had a red mark on them due to the made in china sticker. The other problem I encountered was the children could only design on the tan side with markers, but not on the black. I told them it was reversible and they could use craft foam or stickers instead. If you are looking for a quick and easy project, I would definately recommend these bracelets!

Good deal
These bracelets worked out real well for our VBS western-themed crafts. They are very sturdy and took well the markers that the children used to decorate them. I recommend them.

Cute Bracelets
These worked well for our VBS.
Sharpies wrote easily on these. Nice simple craft!

Disappointed
The quality of the bracelet was good, but we had to buy Sharpie makers to use in order write and draw on them.
I tried washable markers first but the image came right off as it did with glitter glue. Once the glue dried, it peeled right off.
I think if there was more of a texture on the bracelet surface maybe the other more child friendly markers would have worked better.

Good Purchase
These were great for a quick project. Permanent marker worked best on them and the kids really liked the bracelets.

Perfect for my use but has a very faint defect.
They were perfect to paint over and decorate. I want to mention that there was a very small defect on the tan side. All of them have a very faint but noticable red stain on them. I colored over them but I am sure others might have that concern. It looks as if there was a label on it and later removed but it had already made a mark on it.
