Nice Project-no instructions or age range
I loved the idea of making Teepees for our study on the Native Americans, but the children I teach are only 3 to 5 years old. These were a good size and quality, but came with no instructions, therefore I had to wing it. I was able to build a prototype before presenting it to the children, but as far as decorations go, they were too young to draw them. I ended up using stamps of animal footprints and various animals such as, frogs, fish, bears, lizards, horses and had them stamp them on the outside. These are better suited for older children.

Great Teepees
I teach 4th grade and one of the subjects I teach is Native Americans. I use this product as a craft project at the end of our discussion on shelters. I love it. Instead of gluing the sticks, I just punch four holes around the bottom and we thread the sticks through those and then using string, tie them together at the top. Then instead of gluing the tab shut, I use book tape. I also put book tape on the inside above the door for reinforcement because I have had many tear at that point. The kids really enjoy decorating them! Before I found these, I used skewers and tortilla shells! This is waaaay better than that!!!

Don't Bother
I bought these for the craft at a Second Grade Pow Wow. If the Pow Wow wasn't in two days, I would return them. First, there are no instructions or illustrations. Second, the cardstock is coated so marker and stamps smear before they can dry. Third, the creases require some real manipulation before they will bend (see second point re: smearing). Fourth, the sticks seem to serve no purpose. We taped them to the inside. Don't bother buying this product!

There were no instructions in the package. It would have been nice since they were for a boy scout meeting.

Takes Time but Unique Craft
OK - since there was only 1 review - I decided I needed to give an update as well. My daughter had an 8 year old bday campout party. We chose a teepee as one of her crafts that the kids could keep and play w/their small stuffed animals (her party theme was stuffed animal camp out...) I would do this w/older children (8 or up) or you'll be doing a lot of the work yourself. We started w/paints, stickers, jewels, stamps, etc. and let the girls decorate their teepees. Went away and let them dry. Came back and let the girls glue the 4 sticks on the indented areas -- went away and let that dry. Came back later and had an adult glue the flap together w/a hot glue gun. The flap is the 1/2 inch wide at the end of the round teepee that pulls it all together in the teepee shape. It is not the flaps that opens out for entry. After that, each girl picked out two feathers and we hot glued that on top of the teepee sticks. These turned out really cute! They take time - so have other things (i.e. swimming, games, etc.) going on so you can leave these to dry and come back to finish. We only used hot glue for the flap and feathers (and an adult did the hot glue). The girls used regular glue for the sticks. A lot of creative opportunities here!

Good teepee
This worked out good for my daughter's fifth birthday party; however, we would recommend that you use a glue gun to glue the sticks in the teepee. This allows the children to just decorate the teepee and pop open the teepee.
