Best Purchase Ever
Okay, I went with the example title for this review, but I think these *are* one of my "best purchases ever" from OTC, or any other store.
I purchased some of these notebooks four years ago to use with students in my art class. I just found my son's book (he was in my class), and his is still in great condition!
The spiral binding -- great! (smooth, inserted properly, thick)
The pages -- great! (good thickness, not something thin and cheesy)
The covers -- great! (again, good thickness)
The books arrived in super condition.
I just ordered some more for another art class I will be teaching. Again, the books arrived in super condition, and the shipping was so quick! (Not to mention... FREE!)
Thanks OTC. Great product. Highly recommended.

Not quite what I expected but still happy with it
I bought these because I wanted to make mini albums for Christmas GIfts. I was expecting the inside pages to be like cardstock, but they are not. But I went ahead on some of them and pulled the inside pages out and created my own inside pages. For the rest I am leaving the drawing paper inside and making art journals for kids.
I love these,.... they're great. For $1.66 each you really can't go wrong. You can't write on the covers though, they are some shiny material, and you can't ink them either, though you can take some paper and modge podge and cover them, which is what I did.

A little cheap
My children like these because they can draw in them and put stickers on the pages, so they aren't all bad. But as a mom there are a few things about them that bother me. For 1 the pages are very thin and the other thing is that the hard cover is a bit glossy, so if you color with marker on it, it doesn't want to take it - it beads up on it and smears.
