DIY Japanese Fish Mobiles
cute colorful project
The nature camp kids aged 7-9 really enjoyed coloring these with markers and attaching the streamers. They were simple, very colorful and added some nice movement when hung around the classroom.

Not enough pieces
First of all there are no instructions and no pictures so you have to go online to see what it should look like. The picture online shows the entire side of the fish covered with the cool looking circles that look like scales. I had 12 fish and only sixty circles, that makes 5 circles per fish, not enough to make the awesome looking fish in the picture.

Hard to Color
While really cute on the screen, the mobile does not come with instructions or a finished photo. I had to print a small black and white picture from the website. Also, the surface is waxy. Markers smudge, colored pencils and crayons looked faded and hard to color as well. My students made the best of it as they are in 8th grade but younger kids may get frustrated.

Used for a VBS craft. The kids loved them and they were so easy to work with. No instructions, you have to figure it out yourself. It would be nice if these would come in packets of 18. Sometimes 12 just isn't enough and 24 is too many.

Nice Craft Project for summer camp
I read the reviews and still purchased this for our summer Program. It is made of good quality and was easy to put together. This is geared towards kids age 5 and above.
I would buy this again.

Fun Fish Project
The Japanese Fish Mobile was a fun end of the school year project for my students. They loved all the designed "scales" and the colorful streamers.
