Yet to use
Purchased these beach balls for a VBS project. They are small (fit in one hand), but should work well for the children (easier to carry home)! We have not attempted to decorate yet. Hope the markers work well.

wow, kids love this
I've purchased many items from oriental trading for our local christmas box house, which relies greatly on donations. The kids and staff are very pleased with the quality of items purchased, and Its is affordable for me. Thank you !

Some defective
I ordered 2 dozen, 4 or 5 of them were defective. I ordered enough to have extras, but there should be better quality control. The kids loved coloring them, though.

Great for Science Class
Use 4 or 8 beach balls to act out the phases of the moon!
Use a permanent marker to decorate each beach ball so it looks like the face of the moon. Four students, representing the moon, stand in a circle around a student who represents the Earth. Darken the room and use a flashlight to illuminate the beach balls. The student in the middle turns to see the four phases. To add crescents and gibbous moons, just include four more students. Deflate the beach balls for easy storage!

Get a couple extra, just in case
Bought these for my daughter's kindergarten end-of-the-year potluck picnic. They were a bright white and colored very well with the permanent markers and the kids enjoyed it. Unfortunately, we had a couple balls that lost air, even in the process of coloring. I would recommend getting a few extra than you actually need.
