Excellent for VBS Prayer Journal!
I have used these several times as a VBS Prayer Journal. The kids enjoyed decorating them and some of them actually used them!
These are way more durable than the ones the kids need to lace together. I have found those take up way too much time that could be better used.
All in all a really good investment!

Excellent purchase
These are wonderful, very sturdy and at a very low price. Canvas like cover was easy to decorate with markers and foam stickers:)

2nd time purchasing
My daughter writes stories all the time. These small books were perfect! She not only can write a short story but can also illustrate the cover. She loves them!

Worthwhile purchase
I purchased these for an afterschool garden club to use for a gardening journal. They were a little smaller than I expected. The kids decorated them with permanent markers and they looked great with no bleeding from the markers. I would definitely purchase them again because I haven't been able to find any others that allow you to design the cover.

The best I've found!
I purchased these to decorate for a charity event. They are the best quality DIY journals I've found at such a reasonable price. The heavy canvas covers are perfect for markers, paint, even decoupage. I will definitely be purchasing more for future events and for my family's use. My kids will just love to make their own journals ;) I just wish they came in a bigger pack LOL

Great Price for a Good Product
I actually covered mine with material to make matching purse/journal sets. They turned out great, and my customers were excited that when they filled up a book, they could just slip the cover off and put another one in.

Great For Kids
My youngest wanted these so much. She saved her money to purchase and is quite happy with them. I love the hard covers and that they 100 pages in each one.
My only problem with them is that the pages are pretty thin and can rip fairly easy.

My daycare kids & I enjoy these.
I've been in daycare for 12 years and every year, I take photos of the kids and make an album for the parents for Christmas. I try to do a different album every year of their kids photos.. this year I bought this set of books. I was smart & measured how big the company says they are, compared to the size of the photos I use. People that are complaining that it's too small, should have read the description.
I paid about $1.00 per book for this lot. It's exactly what I need it for and I really like that I could print the childs name & year on the binding of the book & they can decorate it themselves.
Yes.. the paper quality could be better but it is what it is.. for $1.00 a book. Strong enough to hold photos back to back per page & can still withstand little hands scribbling pictures to their parents.
I also noticed the binding isn't "tight" but it looks like it will serve it's purpose.
My daycare parents will love this little pocket/purse sized book come christmas. I will be ordering again!
