It's fun to see the results of a craft when you do it yourself. Projects like these DIY kites can be decorated and then flown high! For best results use permanent markers and allow to dry. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Cute, but don't fly very well I bought these for my daughter's birthday party as favors/entertainment for the older kids. They seemed simple enough to assemble (took a little bit of figuring out by the adults, but not bad), and they were easy for the kids to color. When it came time to fly the kites, we couldn't get a single one up in the air! We had several regular kites that went up without a problem, but these have short tails, and just don't go up easily. They would work well if you were using them for decoration, but if you would like them to be actually air-born you might be disappointed. (Or need to be be prepared with different tails and supplies to make them work better maybe) March 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst purchase so far First off, I would like to say that I have never had a problem with anything I've ordered from here. I ordered the kites for my 3rd grade girlscout troop. I thought it would be a fun spring project. I was wrong....The kites come individually wrapped and one of them was missing the connector. In the past they have always given extra pieces for all the crafts. Not this time.....on top of that, 5 out of the 10 kites broke while assembling them. I know kids can be rough. But it happen to be 2 adults as well. The rivets/plastic piece that hold the sticks in, broke way too easily and are made very poorly. Luckily I have some of the best girls ever. They were so excited to be making them and not as disappointed as I was or expected them to be. Any other child would have cried. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for here. March 15, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Broken Before We Even Began I knew this product would be cheap, but I did not think they would arrive broken before we even started doing anything. The tabs rip off of the plastic kites so you can not insert the sticks.. The sticks goes through the holes. No medium works to design them. Just an all around bad product. June 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap Plastic Kits These worked out ok for the kids in Sunday School. Easy to decorate, assistance needed for assembly, fly with little breeze. Two had connector piece missing so it was good to over purchase. June 22, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by These plain kites were terrible We needed these kites to continue a tradition of writing the names of loved ones on the kite in support of Lung Cancer. We made several attempts to put the kites together and to no avail ended up ripping every one and threw the rest in the garbage. June 8, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by awful these really are awful- hard to put together and even harder to keep them together. Great idea, just needs to be improved. March 29, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Great idea, but less than great quality Tried making these a few weeks in a row with 1st-5th graders during a summer camp. The kids and instructors found them frustrating to build and experienced splinters from the plastics pieces. About half of our students went home without a kite, as the pieces snapped or slivered. These are great in theory, but there is a lot of room for improvement. August 7, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by disappointing These kites were too difficult for the kids to put together and too time consuming to do for them. The grommets came out of many of them requiring tape to put them together which only added to the time and effort of constructing the kites. Once together they were fun. I would not purchase for a large group again. July 22, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best of kits While they were very reasonably priced, these kite kits are not the best quality. The corner pieces that are supposed to hold the stretcher bars all fell off when we tried to assemble the decorated project. I can't imagine trying to actually fly this kite as it fell apart before there was any wind involved! June 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great purchase! i purchased these DIY kites for my daughters birthday party, and i know they will be a hit. they are a perfect activity for kids! June 5, 2014
