DIY White Shoelaces
we bought spray on paint and my 7 and 9 year old daughters painted the laces with ease. we tied some up with rubber bands to make some of them tie dyed. my 2nd grader needed them to "sell" at a pretend store for school. they worked great, were super easy to paint and were a big hit with the kids. great for boys and girls craft projects.

horrible for tie dyeing
Tie dyed these as I did socks and t-shirts, these did not hold the color at all. The t-shirts and socks turned out fine. I was very disappointed. I was helping my son do these for a street sale. I will not be buying these again.

bought to replace
I just bought the shoelaces for myself to replace the ones on other shoes. I did not want to pay 2.69 for three pair.

My daughter tie-died these for a business project she had in 6th grade. They were very popular and she sold out! Recommend wearing gloves and place laces on wax paper when coloring because the permanent ink will soak through. We did heat set them with an iron, but the ink was still coming off. Haven't figured out how to prevent that. Fun and easy project!!! The kids loved them.

Ecru not white
Purchased 12 dozen...2 dozen were white as pictured...others were ecru in color...tie dyeing these so we don't expect a problem...just be aware that some may not be white...quality is okay for the inexpensive craft we're doing.

good for older kids
I used these with 7th graders and they loved them. You need to put a piece of scrap paper under the shoelace when coloring so it will not get on the desk or table.
I did not find the quality poor, but you need very good fine motor skills to color.

very poor quality
very disappointing, cheesy and thin cotton laces!

Great for what I needed them for!
I needed the shoelaces for a necklace-making project for a kindergarten class. They worked great for the stringing process, but a few arrived with dirt marks on them. Luckily, I didn't need all 24!
I'm not sure how easy they'd be to decorate, though.
Hope this helps!
