DIY Wood Birdhouse Craft Kit
Great Scout Project
Bought this for a group of cub scouts. Nail holes are predrilled which is nice but the boys still got to use a hammer to hammer in the tiny nails that hold it together. They really enjoyed that. Quality is what you would expect for a $1.75 birdhouse. The boys loved it and that was all that mattered. Everything you need is prepackaged into one little package.

My scouts were so excited, but soon frustrated and discouraged
I had read reviews and hoped for the best. Sadly the commentary was true. The thin wood splits almost every time the tiny nail goes in IF it matches up. We did finish in an hour with equal parent to youth ratio. Glue is required

good quality for the price
I bought these for our apple orchard. I thought they would be a fun project for my daughter and our family to do together and use in our 4 acher orchard. The quality was much better than what I expected after reading the reviews. The assembly was easy and the directions were also easy to follow. They are only 8 pieces total and not hard to figure out how they go together. There were a few where the nails split the wood, but they still held together well. I would recomend glue and nails together for better assembly. My 6 year old daughter had a blast putting them together and painting them for the orchard.

Worst Purchase Ever
These birdhouse craft kits look adorable in the picture yet fail in quality and pricing. I ordered 1 dozen for a boy scout meeting and tried putting one together as a visual aide. My experience level in woodworking is expert and these kits were very difficult to put together because the quality of wood caused it to split when nailing the pieces together. Also the nail holes did not line up properly. While I do not recommend this project as a nail and hammer craft it might work strictly using wood glue. I would highly recommend the Design Your Own Wood Birdfeeder Craft Kit as customer service was wonderful in quickly shipping out this kit as a replacement and it worked out beautifully!

not what I thought it was going to be
I bought this for my scouts... I got a very small box with one very small bag of very thin wooden parts that I suppose could be assembled into probably one very tiny birdhouse.
