Adorable!
These doves are adorable! I used them to make a mini-ornament for a Bible-based Advent Calendar. To make them hang in an upright position, I strung string from the back to the stomach (this is how the hole is positioned in the bead), put the string through a small bead, then threaded the string back up through the stomach to the back, then tied my string. It's still a little "head-heavy" and tilts forward a bit, but it is an adorable little bead! They arrived completely intact, no broken pieces.

Adorable little doves with olive branch
I had a nice brass cross that was a little plain looking. so I glued a "wreath" circle in the middle where there was a circle etched into the brass already. But it still didn't satisfy. I bought the little doves from Oriental Trading hoping they could be used. They arrived with no breakage and to my happy surprise, one settled right in on the wreath and completed the now-beautiful cross.

pretty bird
These were perfect for my ornament project and the hole size doesn't matter to me. Only one tail was broken off out of the package. I think they are very pretty even if some of the eye sizes are different - which clearly shows up on the online picture.

Rare Bird - hard to find
I, like the other reviewers had some challenges with the holes, but found that if I threaded some seed beads, or other slightly larger (about 3mm) on the finding first, I could generally get them to sit properly and not fall though off the finding. When the beaks were a little long, I snipped them with my wire cutters and filed them down with a metal fingernail file to smooth them out. The birds that I couldn't match up into earrings, I used for bookmark charms. I was very happy with the purchase.

cute but holes too big
Cute beads but the holes are too big for the size of the bead. Not sure what to do with them - you really need to have a bead as a stopper that won't ruin the theme of the bead.

The DOVE Beads will, at this moment, be added to My WHISPERS in the WINGS List for future design/activity. Having said that, I KNOW that...when created....the new 'Gift' will be GLORIOUS.

Dainty
These are vey precious, I wish the hole was a little smaller so I did not have to add a bead on the bottom but they are very cute and will make cute earrings and charms
