Everyday Origami Booklets
Great little Origami Book
I got this as a gift for my personal children and my cub scout den. The boys all love origami and paper airplanes, so I thought this would be perfect. The books come with 12 different pieces of paper for making 1 animal each. Each animal has it's own set of directions. They are super cute and easy enough for the novice origami person, but detailed enough to not be too boring for an older expert. The only issue I had, was that I needed 12 and I thought this was a set of 12 books. It is only 6 per order. I contacted Oriental Trading Co. and they saw how the wording was misleading and said they would forward the info to make it more clear. Just in case I wanted you to know that you only get 6 books, so if you need more, you'll have to order more. It is still worth it at 6 books for $8.00 which is the price I paid. My oldest son is almost 13 and loved them, my youngest is 4 and needed help, but the majority of boys are 7-10 and they all were able to make the animals(some did need parent explanation of some steps as expected). Just a note, the papers for folding are loose which is a pro for me because my kids tend to rip them when trying to get them out of other books, but there is a risk of them falling out and getting lost. Overall a great item....will be buying more in the future.

These books look great, the projects are really cute and papers are colored to illustrate the animal (ie fox paper is red with nose and whiskers). Great project to do in classroom for birthday celebration!

Some do-able, others not
The critters are cute and it's great to have paper printed with colors and features. I was able to follow directions for three of them but was unable to make sense of directions for three others and another adult had the same difficulty. This activity could use a suggested minimum age. Even my 8 year old would be too frustrated with them.

I purchased these for a teen program at our library. I had about 35 kids, ages 10-18, and they all loved it! There was something everyone could do, even those who had never done origami before. And the results were adorable! I will definitely be purchasing more in the future.
