Good choice!
I bought these for my daughter's music-themed bday party, they had a nice sound and the kids enjoyed playing along. For the price, I was happy, much better choice than the maracas or cymbals. They were also very colorful / cute to put in a basket and pass around during the music.

great product
the egg shakers are a huge hit with my son, he loves them and has played with them every day since they arrived. we bought them because our public library uses something similar during the storytime and he enjoyed them then. The eggs were super cheap and were a great price for good quality item

you get what you pay for
they are an okay product... I have a baby so I'm not very worried about them breaking yet, but if they were older kids I would be concerned.

Good Purchase
I purchased this product for the music centers at our child care facility. Two of the egg shakers were broken open in the bag, and after talking with OTC the offered to send me a new set of shakers or refund my purchase. Yes they may break easily if abused (I add tape around the seal to add a layer of protection), but the kids love them and they are perfect for our music centers. I will continue to purchase them!

Great Value for Fun Product
These are fun shakers; affordable, colorful, lightweight, and not too loud to use all at the same time in a group. Only drawback - if they get dropped or tossed and hit a hard surface, they will crack. I use them with scouts and with adult rhythm/drum circles and they are a hit.

Buyer beware!
Bought these as party favors and they looked decent. However, a few days later my son was playing with one and it broke right open spilling little beads/filler everywhere. These are obviously cheaply constructed if they are so easy to break open. I feel bad that I gave these to my party guests and hope theirs don't break too.

Shaker Eggs - OK Buy
I purchased these for my daughter to hunt for Easter because she is only one year old. We use shaker eggs in her music class and she really loves them! I was a little disappointed in the quality and the fact that they are made in China because everything goes in my daughter's mouth. I found other shaker eggs at Lakeshore Learning for just under $15/dozen that were much better quality. The price of the Oriental Eggs were cheaper (not by much) but so was the quality. They don't sound like sand shaking like the other eggs. They sound more like small pebbles. I wish I would have spent the extra money (although it's about the same price when you consider shipping charges) for the better quality eggs, but my daughter doesn't seem to care!
