Looks very good for the money although the light up feature is difficult to activate. Would be better to tie in directly to the fan twist on function

flaming torch light
I bought these too for decorating my home. They do not work. Well let me just say this. They work but the light went out as soon as I turned it on, but the fan works still. I have them hanging outside and I still get asked about them. They are made of plastic and the price was good for this item and I will use them again next year even if the lights don't work on it. Would I recommend this to everyone? I would but its really up to the person who is looking for something cheap and inexpensive. I love clearance items and can make a room look spooky or for whatever the occasion is for cheap!

Not worth a dime
Total waste of money. It comes with double stick tape to secure it to the wall. Both fell off within minutes causing them to snap in half so I can't even try to secure them better. Batteries weren't even inside yet.

throwaway
bought 2 so I would have a backup. the first one lasted about an hour, so I changed the batteries and it still didn't work. So I tried the backup - no light and the fan didn't make the flame swatch move. So I went to plan "C" which didn't include these items. This was very disappointing.

Not bad for the price
We purchased 4 of these for a Halloween party we were having outside at our house, for both kids and adults. They worked great outside and really added a nice flair to our evening. I wouldn't recommend using them insides as they don't show up very much. If you buy them as a 'throwaway' item, you'll really love them....if you're hoping to use them year after year, not so much. They weren't terribly durable but served the purpose for the 4 hours of our party. I'll buy them again next year..

second worst purchase
very week. half the time the flame would stop moving. couldnt shut off unless took it apart.

Could not use
I bought one, thinking about 5 bucks isn't bad. What a waste. Even the box came all banged up (inside a shipping box with other orders)! Like others said, the holder does not hold the torch at all- I even tried reinforcing it. There is some wind from the blades, not enough for the flames to look real and it was so loud! Not good if you want it believable- not an airplane effect. When I thought I had it up and ready for the party (inside) it fell, and the light stopped working- so I couldn't use it. Lame.

Works great - but becareful when you hang them up!!!
These worked perfect for a medieval party I hosted - however - the holders that it comes with are too light and do not hold up the torch well - you have to do some re-enforcing so that they don't fall. I put them up and two of them fell down right away. Other than that mine worked great and looked awesome. For $3.50 each you can't really go wrong!
