Reallyt Disappointed!
I thought these were SO cute and were such a great price but I was sorely disappointed when I went to make them with my class. I guess I should have read the reviews before I ordered this!!!
It was very hard for the 6 y.o.'s to glue all these parts together. Every time you get one piece in place another would slip out of place. OT should REALLY make these pieces self-adhesive!!! It would be SO much easier to put together.
My necklace strings were also too short but luckily I have a good stock of crafts at church or the project would have flopped! It is simply a must to start off by attaching the string and doing the beading.
Also I had missing pieces.
I made mine into an ornament for my seasonal tree by tying a bow in the necklace string hole and then threading beads on the ends of the jute and knotting them.

String too short for necklace
Directions say to bead afte all pieces are gluedr .We changed them to read Attach the cord to the brown piece of the hat , place on beads, then put the scarecrow together. this way you don't lose pieces as it dries.

Not Happy
I bought five of these kits that would give me the 60 scarecrows I needed for the classroom of two grandsons. I could only get 58 because of missing parts. The cords were 16" and should have been 28" so I had to buy more jute. Two brown hats missing some noses missing and four of the beads were cut in half. One bag of beads only had four red ones. I was very disappointed. It said they come with extra pieces but there was not one extra piece. Other kits I purchased did have extra pieces.

Cute project; Short string
I agree with the other reviews, the scarecrow portion of the craft is great, but the 28" jute cord is not as promised. Measured it is only about 16 1/2 " long. After attacing to the scarecrow the circle is only about 12" around. Too small for any neck. Maybe a production problem/mistake?

Fun
Really fun. Kids loved it. However, string to make the necklace is not long enough had to buy extra. Craft a little had for young children but excellent for older kids

NOT SO GOOD
This craft was very cute on the web, but didn't hold together and the pieces were falling off left and right. the kids in the 1st grade class were disappointed.

scarecrow necklaces
I really like the looks of these BUT the jute string is not long enough for a necklace. I had to treat them like an ornament. Maybe I got a defective dozen. I was going to use them as necklaces so I was aggravated. Otherwise the quality is good and they are pretty. It is always hard to glue foam pieces together so be patient and let them dry well and you should be satisfied.
