Culture inside a wooden globe!
It's a great way to ask children "what does the world mean? What is inside a world globe?" The answer can be so many words like, "water", "earth" "sky" but once they get into "countries" and "people", that's when you can open up this wooden globe and introduce them to the 8 multicultural painted and wooden children. That's when the fun begins and you can start introducing them to culture and geography!

I really liked this nesting doll set. The students like it. The only problem is that it's not our world, globe on the outside.

cute but not accurately correct
The little people are darling, although thinner than they look in the picture. Not for very small children, choking hazard.
The globe is disappointing as the picture of the earth isn't anything close to the north and south hemispheres or even decent shapes of made up continents.
Overall it's a nice little gimmick for inter-cultural play.

Great Purchase for Price
Purchased this as a small gift for kids, they love that they can open the globe and find little kids in there to play with.

Everyone loved them.
The items were used as favors for my guests. The only problem we had with this item was that it was difficult to remove the top from the bottom to get the little kid figures out. Some of the "globes" were fairly easy to open, but others were very tight.

I got what I thought I was getting and the children enjoyed it
I purchased these "kids" as a conversation starter in children's church. The orb and the children worked well as a conversation starter for world missions.

I bought this as an early stocking stuffer and was really disappointed with the quality. The globe does not even remotely resemble a globe. This could've been a really great gift, but the quality just didn't cut it for me.

Best Purchase for the Money
I am very pleased with my selection which satisfies the State reg for multicultural materials. The children in my classroom enjoy playing with the wooden people in a variety of
ways, including matching and counting.

Picture not accurate
The price was not bad, its cheap. I just want to let other customers know that the picture is inaccurate. The wooden children in the picture are of various skin tones and very cute. the one i received are of only two skin tones ( if they are any race other then white they are just really dark african american. even the asian, Native American, and eskimo kids). the children also have less detail. The globe in the picture is somewhat similar to what earth looks like. The one I received is very lightly painted and the continents are random blobs and dots, not earth.

Would not purchase this item again
The globe was cracked on the top on all that were shipped. I even called to get them replaced, which Oriental Trading did and I greatly appreciate it, but they came cracked at the top again. I think if the item was packaged better this would not happen. Great customer service, just disappointed in the shipment of the item.
