As pretty as in the picture
the instructions need to be thrown away but if you have an idea on how these are assembled, they are worth it. it is a SIMPLE accordion fold & what makes it even easier is that you guide yourself by the premade cuts (no measuring). Martha Stewart sells these for much, much more money. i bought several packs and didn't get any torn. if you get these, definitely try 1 out in advance because the separation of the sheets and fluffing takes a little getting used to... but once i made one, i assembled them in just a few minutes.

Paper not as advertised
Bought these to hang in trees for a wedding reception, but didn't realize that the "craft kit" would only have vague instructions. We tried a couple different interpretations and never got the results that the website shows. The paper is NOT white, it's more like newsprint and tears very easily. So even if you manage to start separating all the petals, it looks awful because half of them are destroyed. Nice idea, but just be prepared to buy extra for damages, set aside many hours to make them and know that the paper is very fragile. Luckily, I also bought the smaller, "pop open" type of balls and they were perfect.

nice
Nice, but required assembly. And instructions were not clear! Once I figured it out, set up was fast. Really nice addition to my other decorations

Not what to expect if are looking for simplicity
I assumed that this item was easy to put together but you have to take each individual sheet of paper and accordion fold them before you attached and fluff it out.
I was hoping that it was a drawstring of some sort or just a simply way to fold the ball out.
I don't have time for major assembly. I often times order products for a future event but do not actually open it until time has almost approached.
This will be returned.

Confusing directions but pretty if you figure them out!
Yes, the directions for these are completely worthless! Google how to make tissue paper pom poms and you will get MUCH better instructions. I also do not know why they call these lanterns? Not even close to lanterns.... Anyhow, once I finally figured out how to put them together I was really happy with the final products, they look really nice! Putting them together is a little time consuming but the look you get for the price is very worth it!

Half were ripped and I was lost after step 2
The instructions were completely useless and I ended up throwing them all away. Save your money

Awful
I bought 2 sets of these for my daughter's wedding reception. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! We spent over an hour trying to figure out how to construct these, (the directions were very vague & made no sense) until out of total frustration I finally loaded up the entire tissue paper mess & threw them in the garbage! Wish there had been a previous review & I could have put the $14 bucks I wasted on these (plus shipping) towards the rosettes I ended up buying elsewhere.
