I bought these to use at my daughter's first grade winter party. Overall I think it's a big win. I would say there are two minor negatives, the lines on the lined paper are dark and the instructions say that there are magnets to attach to the foam so you can hang it, but my packages didn't come with magnets. Easy enough to use your own. The finished product is adorable and my daughter had a fun making the craft.

I found that none of the pieces stick to each other like they were supposed to. I tried doing this with my first grade class and was met with quite a bit of frustration when nothing was sticking together. We ended up having to pull the glue out, but even that didn't make a huge difference. Won't be buying this again or recommending it

This is such a cute product. I use it for our Gingerbread Man Unit in December. I have been buying it for the past 6 years. Unfortunately the quality of the material is not as good as it use to be. Last year and again this year the adhesive is useless. I thought it was just a bad batch last year. You need to glue every piece on. Some of the foam pieces have indentations and marks. Hopefully these quality issues will be addressed because the children love this activity.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by dotrat Cute and simple but adhesive didn't work.
These were purchased for a second grade classroom writing project. They came individually packaged with clear instructions that were very easy for 7 and 8 year olds to follow. The only complaint was that the pieces were supposed to be self-adhesive but most were not sticky enough and required glue. This added additional time to the project that was not planned for.

I used these for my child's 2nd grade party and for my other child's 4th grade party (when UPS messed up and another craft project didn't arrive in time - which Oriental Trade was great to do overnight on). Both classes enjoyed this craft even the boys in 4th grade. I would recommend doing a sample first though to better explain the process and to check that all parts are included. My kits included magnets (unlike other commenter) but only contained one round hand, so I had to tell the kids to cut the circle in half to create two hands. So not a very big deal.
