Glitter Polar Bear Craft Kit
Hard to Assemble
This kit needed a hot glue gun to assemble. Not a great project for a classroom.

I bought these for a January winter project with my after school group of K-1 kids. I recommend putting the bear together one day with tacky glue and adding the glitter and scarf a second day after it is thoroughly dry. We will not be using the hat pieces but will put those pieces with our craft supplies for other needs, so not a waste. I also had a problem with the OTC stamp on both sides of some of the ice pieces, but white acrylic paint was a quick and easy fix. It should not have been necessary, though, so I can only give this a 4-star rating due to the difficulty with construction and needed "repair" of some of the ice pieces. It is, however, ADORABLE once completed, even without the hat!

Lots of comments as to how cute is was
Assembly of pieces was no problem. It took less than 30 minutes to put together. Size of polar bear in photo is deceiving. Expected it to be slightly larger when I actually got it. Otherwise, it was worth the price (not including the shipping cost to Hawaii !!)

I did not put these together yet because across the white base on both sides in black print is orinentaltrading.com and it can't be hidden. They are also not a quick easy project with young ones, I knew it would need some guidance but with a 5 year she couldn't really do much of it that was fun for her. They looked so cute but it just didn't work out.

need to use glue gun for bear
Bought this for 5th graders. The bear needs to be hot glued the craft glue didn't work. Half of the kids decided not to use the hat. They found they couldn't wrap it small enough for the head. We used white glue for the felt pieces and painted it on the bear for the glitter. It was very popular.

Not for kids
Not a good activity for my after-school care kids. The practice one with my kids ended up in A collapsed gluey mess. I ended up hot gluing the rest and having the other kids add the glitter. Not too fun for them and VERY time consuming for me.

Not a kid-friendly craft
We purchased this craft for a children's holiday party, but this is not a craft for kids. You need a hot glue gun to stick all of the pieces together, so an adult would have to do all of the assembly. We tried glue dots, which we had on hand, and they didn't work either. Also, to put the glitter on, you have to cover the item with glue. No thank you! We will be returning our kits.

Only if you have a lot of time
For our church VBS; had a hard time finding glue that would work; would take too long for a short craft time. Otherwise, so cute!

My 8 year old put this together...multistep project with drying time needed, so it took her a while, but it was really cute and seems pretty sturdy now that it's together.
