Fabric bats
I have been buying these for several years and now have enough to cover the deck. Use scissors and trim the ears, Spray flat black paint over the poor paint job and you have a better than average looking bat. I hang them upside down, like you would find in a cave and light them with small LED lights and play a soundtrack for bats. Since they are outside they sway and look even more realistic. Good value. Best product out there for the price.

Disappointed in quality
I wouldn't say they're "fabric" -- more like a durable paper-like material because one of my bat's wings tore off in the wind (and cannot be repaired).
For the quality, the price should be much lower... the mouth is a painted on smile, the eyes are two little red beads, and you have to gently stretch the wings once out of the package -- they look nothing like the photo. And I'm not sure why there's white splotches of paint splattered on the top of them -- I don't think "real" bats have polka dots!

Disappointed
These "paper like" bats look nothing like the picture. There were paint splotches on them and the faces were painted on with what looks like nail enamel. Not worth the price!

Not even worth $8
One of mine didn't even have a hanger. Not that it fell off, it was never attached. Very low quality, even for $8.

poor quality
As the other posters have already stated, these are very hastily put together. the quality is terrible, there are white spots all over the back of them... I would not recomend these.

Eh, ok...
I agree that they do seem a bit hastily put together. Mine had the weird white splotches on the backs too, almost looks like bird excrement and one of the bats smile was painted in all smeared. Other than that they hung fine for me (I used extra string)and the flaws aren't so noticeable from a distance. They are a bit delicate so I'm worried about how well they'll hold up on the front porch with wind and rain.

Very disappointing
I had the same problem the other reviewer had; there are white splotches all over these! They almost look like bleach stains. Not to mention the faces are poorly painted on. I would cost too much to return them, and I just hope using a sharpie on them will help, but this was a real bummer!

Not as good as expected
These bats look great in the picture. However, I was pretty disappointed when I unwrapped them. The quality is pretty cheap and they have a dumb red smiley face on them for a face. We will have to hang them up high enough that people can't see the smiley face because it just doesn't look like a bat face.
