Ice Cream Cone Sand Art Bottle Necklaces
Great Project for 6-Year-Old's Birthday Party
My daughter and her friends (girls and boys) all enjoyed this project. The "flavors" were pretty. The cone part looks as though they might not be very transluscent, but they are. The matching, brighter colored necklace strings are quite long.
The sand we purchased from OT was unbelievable. I bought a pack of the funnels to make sure we had enough to go around. (The sand came with two funnels.)
The colors of the sand are bright and the sand is smooth--no lumps. We tapped the cones from time to time and filled them up to the very top, plus a little more. Otherwise, the sand could get shaken and the colors could mix.
There is so much sand left over, we'll have to have more sand art projects. We used 18 cones and what you see of the purple was about what was used of the other colors. There is PLENTY. These sand art projects seem to use less sand than you think they will.
When we were done, we took the ice cream plastic tablecloth and shook it outside. We're still using the tablecloth 4 days later.

cute but not great quality
bought these fir a craft activity for my daughters ice cream themed bday party, and they were cute and fun to do, but when we started, 2 had holes in them, and before the party was done 3 more ended up with holes just from the girls wearing them. not good quality but they were cute.

I bought these for my daughter's carnival birthday. The kids loved making these and they were all wearing them for the whole party. I only gave it 4 stars because hers cracked the same day and leaked sand everywhere, although she is still wearing the necklace.

An Old Stand By!
We have used these for several years as a craft activity for our annual Ice Cream Social. The children love to create sand patterns in the plastic cones and are so excited to have a necklace to take home!

A Big Hit At The Party
The girls really enjoyed filling these necklaces. They weren't difficult to fill, as the bracelets were, and could be completed by everyone with very little adult supervision.
