Great way to share the true meaning of Easter!
WONDERFUL way to share the Gospel message! Made these with 6-7 year-olds. The only way this craft could be better is if the laces were "tipped," but I took the advice of another reviewer and dipped the ends in fingernail polish and let them dry. Really helped the kids lace through the wooden beads.

Not Easy
I was excited to do this project with our class; thinking that the string for the necklace would be similar to the nativity necklace. It wasn't. The openings on the beads had to be opened further with scissors, and the string frayed everytime it went through the bead, which resulted in cutting the string & helping the kids put the string through the bead. Also, the little loops on the jelly beans kept falling off and had to be re-screwed in. This project required a lot of adult help & was not easy for kids to do on their own.

Good Craft for Little Ones!
This craft worked really well with all the kids. They enjoyed the finished product. It's also fairly easy to assemble, even for little fingers. I did have to take a needle to clean out some of the white beads so that the string could go through them easily, but that was an easy "fix". Some of the strings, after being pushed through the beads, had frayed ends that needed to be snipped to continue the project, but most didn't have a problem. Took about twenty minutes to finish for the youngest in the group (age 2), and ten minutes for the oldest (age 10). Good craft, and good lesson!

Too CUTE
I ordered these for our 2nd and 3rd grade VBS class. As we assemble these, we are planning on eating jelly beans and discussing the colors and meanings. My daughter and I already put one together and it is rather nice. There is a misprint on the website as the card DOES say...Black is for the sins WE made (which is correct.)

The color black says for the sins ( he made ) i think it should say for the sins ( we made ) i think it was a misprint but i won't buy it saying this . Please change it , i would love to order it when it is corrected . Thank you so much .

Nice craft
I thought this craft was really perfect for the true meaning of Easter. The only problems I had were that the metal clasps attached to both the cross and jelly beans were a little rusty, and the rope was fraying. I overlooked the rust because I thought it was a nice craft overall, I would recommend burning the ends of each rope to make sure they don't fray. Even after that I would still buy it again.

They may be rusted
I got these for a homeschool, sleepover girls Easter party at my home. I was happy with the overall appearance once they were done, but I spent 5 hours the days before, soaking and scraping rust off of the metal loops on every one of the 108 (total)jelly bean and cross charms...bummer since I got it to make life easier (since I usually make the craft ideas from scratch). The other difficulty was even the adults couldn't keep the black chord from fraying repeatedly causing the 3-10 year olds some frustration. So if you get this craft it may be beneficial to put clear nail polich to the ends and let it dry before the kids work on this. They were cute when done, just much more preparation than I was expecting.
