"Jesus Is the Best Gift" Christmas Ornament Craft Kit - Makes 48
Didn't realize glue was required. LOTS of tiny pieces.
We didn't realize glue was required, or we never would have ordered this item. And, there were LOTS of tiny pieces. Would only recommend for ages 8+, maybe older and then, only with helpers standing by.

Very nice, and cute
This is a very nice and cute ornament once assembled. I was, however, not aware that it was a project that required glue. It is not a simple put together and go home. Make sure for the glue to dry or better yet use hot glue if its not something that can be left overnight.
Other than the couple small pieces it is very nice, and attractive. The price was perfect for the amount it made as well(12 pcs).
I would still recommend this for older children in your own Sunday School classroom.

This is best used with older kids in smaller groups.

I bought these as a Christmas craft for all the kids in the religious education program to do.
It's a difficult project to do. My 6th grade had a hard time figuring it out. I gave them to grades 1-6... different grades had an easier/harder time.
My advice is to look at the picture in the Oriental trading magazine to make it. The kids really need a sample to look at.
Also use a lot of glue. Make it on a piece of paper so you can use lot of glue, let it dry for a few hours/overnight on the paper then rip it off. If you put it on a piece of paper you can use a lot of glue and not worry about it.
The pieces are too thick to really overlap. Baby Jesus' head and the other parts slip around as you put it together.
They are really cute and excellently priced. Great to send home as a reminder of Jesus' birth at Christmas.
I would say minimum grade 3 and up.
