Not what was expected
Very flimsy and the edges not smooth. The "Nitch" is much larger than it appears. Would not purchase again for the teens at VBS

Very poor quality
I purchased 200 of these dog tags for a Vacation Bible School project. The kids loved making them, until the chain broke and they could not wear them anymore. I expect better from Oriental Trading, as I have never purchased such a poor quality product from them.

Very Disappointed
I used these as a VBS craft. It's a very cheap product. A number of them were broken right out of the package and the metal material is thinner than I thought it would be. I used these with pre-teens and teenagers and most of them complained about this craft (many threw them in the trash before leaving the art room). I would never purchase these again and was embarrassed that I had to pass them out.

Be Careful
I purchased these dog tags as name tags for my church kids. The dog tag part is great. Some of the edges needed filed but the kids love them. The chains are BAD!! Plenty of length but they BREAK EXTREMELY EASY. If these are going to be used frequently they may not be the best item to get.

Hard Craft
This craft was very hard for the kids to do in Sunday school. I recommend this for 11 years and up. It is hard to keep up with the small pieces.

Fun for Older Elementary Students
We used this at our Vacation Bible School and the older kids (Grades 5 & 6) thought this was GREAT! They enjoyed making their own design and then they really liked wearing the dogtag necklaces! I highly recommend this product for middle and upper elementary students: however, the pieces are too small for young children to successfully complete the design alone (would need much adult assistance).

It was very difficult for younger ages, beads are very small even the older kids took a long time to do. We ended up using larger beads we provided for the younger kids. Would not use for kids younger than 5th grade.

Surprised
The catalog looked like the colors were red and blue. I was surprised when the colors were red and purple. I don't think the colors are mentioned in the write up. I didn't think it was so difficult, but it did help to use a toothpick along with the wooden stick. I was glad to see they had extra jewels and stick in each unit.
