great purchase
I purchased 9 dozen of these bags on sale. Paired them with gold tealights and they give off a fantastic glow through the cutouts. The bags are thin which helps in the glow. You MUST take your time opening them or you will tear them. We took our time and only slightly tore one, tape came to the rescue.

Beautiful with lights!
We purchased these for our wedding and put a LED changing color light in each one....they looked amazing lining the dock at the reception. They are a little thin but if you are careful pulling them apart, you will have no issues.

Worse Luminaries Ever
Do not waste your money on these!! Paper is very thin and flimsy! You have to literally peel them open and try not to have the cut-outs tear while doing so. If you put any type of weight in the bottom of them (sand, luminary plastic water holders, etc.) the bags will rip in half when you try to lift them! Out of the original 12, 2 ripped immediately; 4 more the next night and by the 3rd night, they all were torn and thrown away. Too bad I bought several other assorted sets - I'm guessing they're all going to be made the same :(

Compliments
I needed to do somehthing different on the outside stairs of the wedding reception hall. These worked out with the battery powered tealights and we wrapped white lights around the handrails. When the candles are flickering you cannot see the "Love" but still turned out well.

keep looking
These luminaries are not worth your time to purchase them because you won't be using them for any kind of celebration. They are extremely cheap and tacky looking!!
