Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Grandaughter lovedthe Easter eggs last yr, and wanted more all the different shapes and different colors are a lot of fun for the kids. when several get together they like to see what the different designs they come up with I do like that some are hang ups, some magnates and so on . . I would like to see more complex ones come out. As they get older the girls need to do more planning or something more difficult.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A big hit I purchased these scratch off apples as a children's activity at our Thanksgiving Day. All the grandkids from 2-8 enjoyed them. The 2 year old needed help as the scratch off stylist is pointed on one end. But everyone enjoyed it. I saw 2 hanging on their Christmas tree as decorations after Thanksgiving.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Magic Color Scratch Apples This was purchased for a team building event for the staff. All in all folks loved the scratch offs. We had great participation because folks did not have to do much and they liked the outcome. The down side is the colors did not really pop out like they did on the scratch off items that are black to start with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Popular project with the kids I used this for kids ages 5 through 10. All ages enjoyed it and most kids were able to do it on their own, it didn't need a lot of hands-on help from the adults. The two minor complaints are that the product comes with 24 shapes but only 12 scratching tools. That was fine for me because I used the project to keep the kids busy as they came in in the morning, but if I had wanted to sit them all down at the same time, it would've been a problem. My other complaint was the that color underneath was a variety of colors, not a solid color. I would've liked to have black underneath. But this didn't bother the kids at all. I think a lot of them were happily surprised with the rainbow underneath.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The children loved the scratch art apples and it enhanced our "apple day" theme. We have an apple day where we celebrate Johnny Appleseed's birthday, and the children learn about different kinds of apples, enjoy tasting and graphing their favorite apples, make apple prints, etc. The scratch art apples are a favorite activity.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Big They were much bigger than expected (which was totally fine for my purposes). The annoying thing is that it only comes with 12 sticks to color them with, but 24 apples (I knew this when purchasing, but it is still annoying). I am using them as party favors and need to come up with 12 different things for people to use when they get home. Also, I was missing one of the colorful pieces of string (not a big deal for me).

Questions & Answers

Does something else work well for scratching? Toothpick?? Chopstick??

Asked by: Kimpanzee
Oh yeah chopstick is a good one, haven't thought of that. Have a contest with the kids before they get to do the scratch offs, see who can find the most useable things in the house or outdoors. anything with a sort of point. small stick, pointed rock, straw, fork, spoon, key ,pencil, coin, edge of card either post card, business card etc. if not heavy enough double up. The kids can dress up what ever they find to use.

Is there a way to get more of the scratcing tools?

Asked by: Kimpanzee
Don't know if you can order, but the more scratch offs you get , you save the little picks, or just find any thing from fingernails to toothpicks , pencils, unclicked pens ,spoon edge, letter opener. just about anything that comes to a small type of point. see how many your kids can come up with, do a house search, you could keep them busy for hours.
