Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by easy craft i hope i ordered these for an up comming cinco de mayo party. i received 24 thin paper thin cut outs but only 12 scratching sticks comes with them. i was expecting a thicker card stock product and enough sticks for each scratch craft. now the kids will have to do it in shifts so that all 24 kids can do one. The "magic color" is underneath the black coating. The wood sticks are the tools used to do the "scratch art" drawing, which removed the black coating to reveal the "magic color" underneath.

Basically these are colored pieces of heavy cardstock that are covered in a black ( usually) waxy substance. The sticks are used to scratch off the 'wax' . The children create a design and in the process have a rainbow of colors peeking up where they just scratched.
Have used them for several years at our VBS and the children ,aged 4 to 6 th grade, love them!
