How wide is the space between the columns? Also, what is the height of just the column portion (before attaching the arch)?
I am interested in mounting this archway and columns in front of an existing doorway to make an awesome entrance to my 5th grade classroom. However, before ordering I need some more details about the measurements so I can see how it might work in my doorway.
Also, the description said it is one-sided with brown cardboard on the other side. Does one-sided mean that it's flat, but painted to look 3-D, or are the columns really cylindrical?
Please let me know. I'd love to order this.
As far as the one sided question they are painted 3d all the way around. I was curious about this as well but once I received it saw it was the same both sides. not sure why they put they description....

Can weight be added to the bottom?
Is there a way to put something in the bottom for weight? I'm afraid if it's windy it could blow away.
You will need to put these together, you can put sand or a weight in the bottom during assembly.

Can this be set up and used in stages? i.e. Can the columns be set up first and stand, and then the arch added later?
We would be using this as a prop - making a building. We would want to set up four columns first - on successive weeks and then on the fifth week add the arches.
Yes, this can be set up using just the columns then the arch added later on.

I was wondering if this item is freestanding as many places do not want you to tack or stake there property.
The item is free standing.
