A Kid Favorite
Yes, they are small, no they aren't slinky's, they only stretch, but kids love stretching them! The design on them twists and stretches and this is fun for the kids too. I doubt adults could have much fun with them, but kids really do! My only problem was that the heat generated in cutting them during manufacturing made them stick and not stretch at all, I had to spend some time running my fingernail the entire length of the coil to get them to stretch right.

I liked most of my purchases from this company but this one was a waste of money. Ordered them for my daughter's birthday party and ended up throwing them out because I was too embarrased to give them to the other kids. Just a piece of plastic that stretches...if they had cost more, I would have returned them instantly.

cute for the price
Purchased for a kindergarten treasure box. Perfect little good behavior prize. Kids love to play with it.Nothing fancy - you get what you pay for.

good reading tool
As a reading teacher, I used the Magic Springs in my Read Well reading lessons to "stretch out" words (sound them out) and "shrink them up" (say words fast). The kids were really motivated to practice this activity with the springs. They also often chose them as prizes.

not much spring or bounce
Unfortunately I am returning this item as it is tiny and does not do much. At best it is like an accordian that can open and close.. until it possibly breaks.

Bad Idea to make a plastic slinky!
They don't bend or slink. What you see in the picture of them is all that they do. You can stretch them if you hold onto both ends but thats it. Don't waste your money!
