Great Learning Tool
I am buying more! I use these in my 1st gr classroom as a way to count phonemes as they sound out words. In math they are counters for '100s' place while I use plain porcupine balls for tens and ones. We count, group, add/subtract, estimate and then count the 'fingers'. I use in games, put in birthday bags, kids keep in desks for a fidget. We take handwriting breaks and massage our hands by rolling our palms over the ball on the desktop. I use in cross-brain activities and toss from hand to hand for eye-hand coordination. So many ideas and needs met using this small item. It's what I give as a gift to new teachers in our school. It's great!

Classroom favorite
My 2nd graders really love these porcupine balls. They are a favorite in my treasure can.

Serve no purpose
These balls are super small, not squishy (which is a keyword I used in my search) and do not bounce. Basically serve no purpose and do nothing.

Recently I purchased these mini-koosh balls as a giveaway for a business showcase. Children and adults loved them.

These little porcupine balls were a hit at our school carnival. There are very colorful and a have a great texture for kids of all ages.

not squishy
I bought these thinking they were soft and pliable, but they are too hard to use in my painting project for 4 year olds. They are cute, but not sure now what to do with them.
