Neon Suncatcher Paint Pens
not as good as I hoped
Tried these pens for VBS. They are not very easy to squeeze and do not hold much. 2 packs was not enough for about 40 kids to share

Remove the PLUGS 1st!!!
There were no instructions on how to use these so after having 3 of them explode all over my dining room, I finally figured out that there is a very tiny cap underneath the "pen-tip" that you need to remove 1st. Then the paint flows nicely out. If you don't remove those and they get squeezed too hard, they shoot paint ALL OVER. Instructions would have been nice. Also, having to unwrap each one individually from the shrink wrap was very time consuming and a pain in the behind, especially when trying to keep the kids at bay while they waited for them. I did have 2 of the paints break open along the bottom and spill out as well while using them. I purchased them b/c I thought they would be much neater than using paints with brushes, but I was sadly mistaken. If instructions had been included, I imagine a lot of my frustration would not have happened.

Great concept/poor reliability
About 40% of the pens were dried out or paint was too thick to use. Ones that worked were great.

Paint too thick
I spent 10 hours paint 12 wreaths because the paint was so thick, it was like toothpaste coming out. Nothing on the paint info said what to thin it with. Definitely NOT water. I used a little alcohol to thin but results were far from favorable. Very disappointed in this paint.

Haven't used with kids yet, but pens worked great. Good for detail work, for larger areas, i used a paintbrush to spread it around because it come out thick. Individually packaged kind of a pain, and you had to take the stopper out to use, but can put stopper back in for longer storage.

Great to use to paint the suncatchers.
The children enjoyed decorating the suncatchers using the paint pens.

Messy, but okay product.
Didn't realize they had these little "tip" caps on them so we were trying like heck to squeeze the paint out and it wasn't coming out. When we finally figured it out the paint gooped out of the tip and became messy. the kids also just squeezed the paint out over the sun catchers resulting in albeit or paint wearing. The paint tubes were also made of a flimsy type of plastic.
