Wouldn't Cut & Fell Apart
I turned this on as soon as i got it and it looked and sounded good but two weeks later when i tried carving a pumpkin the thing wouldn't cut. When ever i try to cut a line the blade slows way down. I assumed at first it was the batteries so i put brand news in and it made no difference. i honestly don't think that this could even cut pumpkin pie.
To make matters worse it fell off my coffee table (onto carpet) and broke. The battery door won't stay closed now.

Disappointed but worked ok
this was not that easy for me to use. I had to use a knife to start a hole for it and then it was hard to make anything other than a straight line. It did cut the pumpkin but I ending up just using my knife to finish. My son enjoyed it because it made lots of noise.

Not for small detailed patterns
I purchased four of these for a Halloween pumpkin carving family party. Two of the power saws did not work. I called Oriental trading immediately and they returned my money for both of them. The other two worked but I would not recommend using them on small intricate carvings. For larger areas it was a real time saver. We will use them again next year.

Waste of Money
I thought this item would really help me with my hands and save me time. Unfortunately, when you turned it on, the vibration caused the battery door to fall off every time and we could not use it. We left the batteries out and used it as a carving knife and it actually broke. This is the first knife I have ever had break on me in 15 years of carving pumpkins. I still have my original knife and I ended up using that to finish my carvings. It was a good idea, but it doesn't work.
