Pumpkin Weaving Mats
nice craft - although smaller than I expected
I bought these as a craft for my niece and nephew over thanksgiving and we used them as placemats for thanksgiving dinner. They were smaller than i expected, they are about the size of a plate rather than a placemat but they work well enough to decorate the table and make it look festive. They were easy to do, even for our 5 and 7 year olds and even their grandmother enjoyed doing them! Quite a few come in the package which is nice, and there is lots of room for creativity in mixing different patterns. I was very happy with this product.

Good Craft for adolescents
Used as a craft for activity therapy adolescents. The group was 23 in head count and it appeared all the participants could not have an entire sheet of strips. The sheets had to be cut and redestributed. They did have enough strips to complete project.

Good quiet time activity
I bought these pumpkin weaving mats for a Halloween party for my 1st & 5th grader. The 5th graders were able to easily weave while the 1st graders needed a little help. It did provide some much needed down time to wind down the party.
One thing I didn't really care for was that the nice shiny side had the oriental trading UPC code on it. Would have been nicer if that would have been placed on the matte side. Anyway, the kids didn't seem to mind.

Very happy with product
Very satisfied. We are using them as centerpieces for a fund raiser
with approximately 300 attending. We will have a floral piece sitting
on them. We are a Daycare for folks with dementia and they were
able to help put them together.

These placemats are really neat. The kids will love doing something like this. The only problem is that the web site and books says there are 24 in the package. When actually there are only 12.

Great product, however........
Purchased for elementary class halloween parties. Great product, however, too hard for a 5-6 yr olds to do on their own in a limited amount of time and a little difficult for 7-8 yr olds. A handful of 2nd graders complained it was too hard. It was great for building fine motor skills which those age of kids need.
I thought it was a cute activity. It would take 2nd graders about 10-12mins to complete it correctly (even they struggled with the alternating over and under). But seriously, you can't beat that price.
I also thought these would make cute place settings for the table at Thanksgiving. And a fun way for your kids/grandkids to help with setting the table.
