Exactly what I was looking for.
I saw this sand on their website and it got great reviews. I was working on a project with some kids and thought I would need more. I had already bought some at another store for about $5 and it wasn't even 1/4 to what I received from Oriental Trading. I wish I had known at the time of their sand. PERFECT! It was just what i wanted so I bought 2 thinking it always looks like your getting more than you do. Boy was I mistaken! 1 box would of been plenty but now I have more for another project. Looks exactly the same as the other. I also needed it NOW! So I overnighted it. The box was very heavy with 2 things of sand in it but it was worth it and the shipping was alot better than I would of thought. I will always check Oriental Trading for all my craft needs first.

Wowed the Kids!
We used this sand set with our sand art pens, and it was a big success for my 8 yr old daughter's sleepover birthday party. They were thrilled to have so many colors to choose from. The amount you get is incredible...we may be doing sand art projects for years to come with this same set!

Lots of sand, well worth the investment!
With all the sand my kids bring home in their shoes after school, I probably don't need to be buying sand, but this colorful sand is well worth the investment. My Daisy GS troop used this sand to make the pumpkin sand art necklaces from Oriental Trading and I've still got tons of sand left. Definitely recommend!

Great Buy!
I wasn't sure how much sand was in each bottle, so when I received these, I was amazed. Each bottle is a bit larger than your average can of soda (12 fluid oz). I couldn't figure it out from the other reveiws, so I decided to write one myself. Colors are vibrant. Each bottle comes in a plastic container with a tightly sealed plastic lid and in a bubble wrap bag. All in a divided box. Nothing was opened or spilled. $20 seemed steep for sand, but there is quite a bit of sand in this order.

Generous Amounts of Vivid Colored Sand!
This sand was unbelievable. We used it in the ice cream cone necklaces and I bought two packs of the funnels to make sure we had one funnel per child. The sand came with two funnels.
The colors are bright and the sand is smooth--no lumps. We tapped the cones from time to time and filled them up to the very top, plus a little more. Otherwise, the sand could get shaken and the colors could mix.
There is so much sand left over, we'll have to have more sand art projects. We used 18 cones and what you see of the purple was about what was used of the other colors. There is PLENTY. These sand art projects seem to use less sand than you think they will.
When we were done, we took the ice cream plastic tablecloth and shook it outside. We're still using the tablecloth 4 days later.
