absolutely beautiful when finished!
If these beads are the same as in the kits I have purchased from OTC the past 2 years, they are well worth the price! The pink beads, especially, are so beautiful that they make a rosary equal to crystal and fire polished beads I have purchased elsewhere. You will NOT be disappointed!

Great for novice jewlery makers!
I purchased this kit as practice to get an accurate pattern of a rosary for further beading projects. I completed both necklaces within 2hrs! Of course I had beading plyers and all the necessary equipment to seperate the beads and hold the pieces in place as I worked. The links were a little long, and it made the overall length of the necklace hang below my belly button. I had no tarnished links, the beads were pretty, and I loved the centers and crosses! I wish it had locking jump rings, but it is still pretty sturdy. This was exactly what I was looking for to improve my beading basics. Now i'm ready to move up to making a rosary out of prescious metal and gemstone! I'd highly recommend this for teens or someone who is looking for a start in beading. The only complaint is the length, but it allows room for error in bending the necessary loops to attatch the eye hooks. As long as your patient, have beading plyers, and knowledge of making a loop to attach the eye links you should have no problem. Plus there are free sites that give further instruction on how to do different jewlery basics out there if you get confused.

Beads are beautiful
The beads in these kits are beautiful. They are a good quality glass bead. The crucifixes are larger than expected. The only thing I would change, the instructions for assembly are connected to the prayer instructions which makes it impossible to include if giving as a gift.

Tools Needed
Even though instructions come with the 2 rosaries, they don't show you what a 'jumpring' or 'eyepin' looks like. I had to do a little research online. After I found photos of what they were talking about, you need patience in making these rosaries. They come out very nice though.
Downfall is if you don't have any craft tools at the house, then you will be disappointed when you get this craft in. You NEED tools to make these rosaries. You need 2 small pliers, and 1 small wire cutter. (I had these for my floral designing projects, so I was able to work on my rosaries right away.)
I do recommend this for patient beginners. Pricey for the quality.

Not what I expected
The directions were not detailed enough to understand how to make these. It might be more helpful if there were photos on each step. While trying to put a small circle on the cross, the cross broke, not very well made.

Pretty for the price
This kit makes two very pretty rosaries. It is a great deal for the price. There are only 2 things I would mention: some of the headpins were severly tarnished I was able to wipe most of it off, and the centerpieces didn't seem like they were stamped deep enough( it is 2 sided). Overall a great deal!
