one of our favorite used for Polar Express Day, children loved this activity. January 6, 2011

Difficult to assemble. I purchased these to have my kids assemble and give away to friends and classmates. I tried assembling a couple myself so I can guide my kids, but had a pretty hard time & was unable to get them to look presentable. My kids gave up pretty quickly too. I wouldn't recommend this item. Wait! Needs glue gun/expert. We bought these kits to sell at a Student Council fundraiser at school, intending to have the kids put the pieces together before selling them. The instructions say: "Be sure to have adult supervision IF using a glue gun..." But there is no way anyone could attach felt and chenille to a chrome bell without hot glue or contact cement. 5th graders CANNOT/SHOULD NOT make these, and it's not cost effective for an adult to do them. The parts are of fine quality - we are going to put the bell on the cord, and sell those :) December 7, 2010
