Awesome! Convenient packaging! Safe pins for sequins! Keeps the little ones busy! Great inexpensive sparkler for the tree.

ordered for the daughter and daughter by love to put together for Thanksgiving afternoon. We found them cute but the sequins kept slipping out of the ball. The sequins need a bit of glue added and the instructions did not say how the cord should be attached.

They were missing all the stars .I had to dig for piece so they could finish it.
They fall apart really easy

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by TeacherofArt Kit is NOT as pictured
I really like sequin crafts like this. I only wish it was as pictured. The plastic pins are flat which there are pros-will not break in shipping & may be easier for students to pin, cons-NOT as pretty as pins pictured which I have used in the past. The kit DOES NOT contain a star nor does Oriental Trading company sell the star pictured according to the customer service person I spoke to. I had enough pins sequins to complete the ornament.
Fair Rating because kit is not as pictured.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OTfan2011 No Star
I was prepared for the size by the description, appreciated the extra sequin pack; however, I should have read more closely. There are no stars included in this item. I can easily go to a craft store and buy them, but why? Probably would have purchased everything at the craft store if I had realized. They're cute, just not what is pictured. You may need to swap out the polymer "pins" for real straight pins if you don' t get them in straight the first time. I would recommend with a caveat.

We love having this activity as one of our Christmas gift ornaments we give our parents from the students. Very conveniently packaged and the students love making them.

by iteach3rdgrade SO DISAPPOINTED
Not as pictured!! I ordered this a few years ago to make with my third graders and give as gifts to parents at Christmas time, and loved it. I had been unable to find it for a few years, so was glad to see it again. Although the picture was a bit different than what I had a few years ago (No more metal pins and metallic beads), I was willing to settle for the plastic "pins" with the round, clear heads, and I ordered multiple sets, only to be SO disappointed in the poor quality that arrived. Instead of the pictured item, there were just flat-topped plastic thumbtack-type things that bent when I tried to assemble the item. Former gold star bead is now a cheap yellow star. I did not want to send back and pay shipping, so I spent another chunk of money on metallic seed beads and straight pins to bring this back to the quality I wanted to receive. Too bad, OTC--I will not recommend you, nor order anything else any time soon.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by KittyinNC not what I expected
individual kit didnt even have enough pins to make one ornament! I had to combine to make one ornament. Many pins bents and became unusable also. The printed guidelines were not even or centered on the ornament ball.
expect I will get half of the quantity due to the poor quality of the components.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by NotACraftyMom3 Too much work!
This was not age appropriate at all. It took me almost an hour to work on one. You can't keep the attention of a child that long to make a small ornament. The ornament was smaller than I expected too. The final product is cute...but only if you have the time and the patience. Not for children.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by jeri3 Worst item ever received from oriental trading
I have ordered this product for years and have been very pleased. Unfortunately this year the quality has declined tremendously. I was unable to even attach the sequins because the pins were so flimsy they bent and would not penetrate the ornament at all. I am very disappointed and hope this issue can be remedied.
