This is a cute craft, but has small pieces which must be glued. Was challenging for younger students. Recommend using self-stick pieces in the future.

Great Giveaway Item
I bought these to use as giveaway items for my son to trade at a national conference. We actually put closeable pins on the back instead of using the pencils. The kids can pin them to their name badge lanyard and have lots of fun trading them. We personalize them with the name of our state written on the rays of the sun. I save the pencils to use for school and the pipe cleaners for other craft projects. Easy craft and lots of fun.

fun product
Project is cute and a quick craft however the item states there are two sun shapes, one for the front and one for the back. The packages we received only had the front sunface. Still the kids enjoyed this craft.

Needs back
I bought this craft for the VBS kids to put together. It is easy to assemble and very cute. My one complaint is that the directions say to secure the pipe cleaner with a second sun that should be glued to the back. The kit only came with one sun and when we glued the pipe cleaner on it kept wanting to fall apart. I am going to put some hot glue on them after the kids leave and that should take care of it. It would have been a lot nicer if there were another sun piece to secure the whole thing.

Cute but Confusing
I bought this to do with first grade students. When I went to build one on my own first, I noticed the directions were a bit off. They state that you need to secure the "back of the sun". There was only one piece for the sun, so therefore, the back is exposed with all of your securing of the pipecleaner. I plan on using Glue Dots for this part to make sure it is secure. The rest held well with glue stick.
