Great colors! Really pretty! Less mess than brushes
I am very happy with these paints. There was much less mess than there is when using brushes and water. Since kids aren't dipping brushes into one color then another, the colors stay nice. We did have a few kids overdo it with the paint, but the puddles were easily sucked back into the tube: Hold the paint tube vertically with the open tip pointing up. Gently squeeze out the excess air. Continue to hold the tube squeezed in and place the tip into the puddle of paint. Slowly release pressure and the paint will be sucked back up into the tube. Another way to avoid wasted paint is to allow the kids to choose which colors go where. An adult helper can place a dab of paint in each section and the little ones can spread the paint with a toothpick.

ok
Real strong bad odor. A little messy. Not as easy to use as I thought they would be.

Ruined workers shirt
As the craft teacher prepared to use these markers on the fish they did not work properly and paint started to come out everywhere. The workers shirt was ruined. We did not even try them with the kids. Very disappointed.

AWFUL
These are terrible. The paint won't come out without extra squeezing effort...but watch out! I had paint on the ceiling, the stairs, the wall, the floor, and in the next room...all from one wayward squelch of paint. These things are ridiculous. Even when I did get them to spew paint a bit more slowly it globbed out and was an impossible mess for painting the suncatchers. Bad, bad, bad all around. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!

Not for small kids
These were a disaster for my 4 y/o. He would squeeze the tube and half of the paint would come out. I thought this would make the painting/coloring easier for him, but it did not. I tried using it too and it wasn't much better. Maybe for older kids.

DON'T BUY THIS
Bought this for the kids to make a father's day gift, but it didn't work out so well. I have to find something else - just 1 day to go. The quality of the paint pens is horrible!! The paint squirted out and splattered all over my daughter. Her hair was matted with the paint and we had to cut some chunks off, because the paint wouldn't wash off.

H O R R I B L E
Once in awhile I come across something here that was a really horrible buy. This was one of those times (and I bought 2). The glitter paint pens are a 10! They flowed great etc. but half of these pens were thick and came out like paste (ruining the look of some of our sun catchers). They would stop up and then spurt a glob. All in all I am out about $30 because of these paint pens and the sun catchers that were ruined. Buy the glitter ones instead, not only do they work great but they look 100% better when dried.

Opaque when dry
I bought these paints and the glitter tubes for my 4-year-old and a 5-year-old friend to do sun catchers. They had a BLAST (as did I), but these paints were opaque when they dry. They are still pretty, but the light doesn't shine through. Conversely, the glitter paint is translucent when it dries (which was the look I was hoping for). I'm back today buying more glitter paint.

Great Product
I purchased these paints to use with our VBS program. The colors are much more vivid than I expected. The tubes are easy to apply but do require a gentle touch. Some of the colors seem to be a little thicker than others, but overall a great product. The thinner you get the paint on, the more transluscent your project will be. A helpful hint for younger age groups: put on small amounts of paint and then have kids spread it out using watercolor brushes or toothpicks. More paint can always be added, but it is difficult to scoop out the overflow :-)
