terrific apple tree
This would be the best product that I have bought from ORiental Trading other than incentives. Last year, I used this tree as one of my bulletin boards all year round for Reading. It was used as an interactive weekly vocabulary board (can fit 6-7 sentence strips).
I wrote the vocabulary words and meanings on sentence strips and students would place them. Kids liked doing this activity since all were able to participate.

I can't stich but i sure can glue gun. I made many smaller pockets to hold small light wieght apples and such. It's very cute but really could use better construction. I had mine for 2 years. I'm buying a replacement for the next two years.

tree pocket chart
I agree with the other reviews--the pockets need to be stitched down vertically in 2 or 3 places so cards will stay in pockets. the light weight of the cards was too much for the long pockets -even apple cutouts were falling out.

Love It, After a Little Work
I am a teacher and I absolutely love this cute apple tree pocket chart. With that being said, I did have to add a few extra stiches to it so that everything would stop falling out. When I got it the clear plastic pockets would buldge even with a small item in it and the items would constantly fall out. This was easily fixed with a few extra stiches, but I wouldn't recommend it if you can't add the few extra stitches because you will be disappointed by everything falling out.

Drooping Tree
I thought this would be perfect for my "Giving Tree" in class. I got it all set up, pulled it tight on the sides, and stapled. The pockets started to sag and the materials tend to fall out of the pockets. By the end of my meet the teacher, anything left for the parents to give was on the floor. A simple solution for this problem is to stitch it up the middle or in different places around the tree on your sewing machine. Once you do the work it is much better!

less than usefull
Looked great going up, but the pockets won't hold anything up, all falls out onto the floor. something in the assembly must be lacking as the stitches are all in place....
